Attraverso gli smartphone di ogni partecipante e membro dello staff, l'organizzazione puó monitorare gli spostamenti, la traccia percorsa, i tempi di sosta e le velocità nel percorso. In modo da avere uno stato preciso di ogni singolo partente e una panoramica globale per garantire una elevata sicurezza. In alcuni eventi è presente anche il Live Tracking pubblico per seguire l'evento dal pubblico remoto.

Il consumo batteria è limitato durante l'uso in modalità Live Tracking e l'impatto sulla batteria è di circa 5-8% in piú rispetto al normale uso dello smartphone senza Live Tracking abilitato. In uso in modalità di Navigazione o di tracciamento (creando una nuova attività manualmente) ovviamente il consumo è maggiore ed è consigliato l'uso di un power bank.

Con WHIP LIVE puoi navigare e scaricare le tracce ufficiali dell'evento* o caricare i tuoi file GPX per seguire la traccia e ricevere indicazioni vocali in ogni incrocio su strade e sentieri.

Non tutti gli eventi rilasciano tracce ufficiali

Come ti sarà già capitato se utilizzi app che accedono alla posizione utente in background, su Android la chiusura automatica di app in background è un problema ricorrente.

Per evitare la chiusura di WHIP LIVE durante il Live Tracking, sarai guidato in fase di iscrizione all'evento ad effettuare i passaggi che occorrono per evitare il problema.

In base alla versione del tuo dispositivo WHIP ti farà eseguire due passaggi opzionali, che consigliamo vivamente di fare:

• Rimuovere l'app da quelle ottimizzate all'uso batteria
• Inserire l'app tra quelle in gestione manuale, per permettere l'avvio automatico)

Through the smartphone of each participant and staff member, the organization can monitor the rides, the track covered, the riding times and the speed along the route. To ensure an all-rounded safety, there's a live status update for every single participant and a global overview. Under request we also provide public Live Tracking overviews for the event to be followed live from a remote audience.

The battery consumption when the Live Tracking is in use is very limited and the impact on battery consumption is about 5-8% more than the normal phone consumption without Live Tracking enabled. When combining it with Navigation or manual Tracking mode the consumption is obviously higher and so we suggest using a power bank for this.

Register or login if you already have an account.

Click on the "Profile" tab at the bottom and select "settings" at the top right.

Click on "Join an event" and enter the event code (if you do not have the event code send us an email here hello@whip.live)
